Employees Of Smes Can Transfer Work Visa After 1 Year Instead Of 3

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Salman, issued a ministerial decree permitting the transfer of the employees of small and medium enterprises (SME) after one year of issuing the work permit instead of three years, Al Qabas.

The decision stipulated the approval of the employer, and the same conditions and controls applied in Ministerial Resolution No. 9 of 2016 regarding work controls for owners of small and medium enterprises.

Salman’s decision came after reviewing the state’s precautionary measures to confront the Covid-19 virus, and its impact on the labor market, as Ahmed Al-Mousa, Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, made a presentation to Salman on the decision, which was in the public interest.
