Employee Gets Life Time Jail For Killing Boss Who Didn’t Approve The Leave
A Dubai worker has been condemned to live in prison for assassinating his boss after he refused his leave request to return home.
The 23-year-old defendant, who worked at a garage in Al Quoz Industrial Area, allegedly had a violent dispute with his manager before slicing his neck with a sharp knife and bashing his head with a hammer, according to the Dubai Court of First Instance.
According to a Dubai Police officer, the victim was discovered in a pool of blood by his staff, and the defendant was the last person seen with him.
"The garage workers stated they had gone outside for 20 minutes and returned to find the victim dead. "They suspected the defendant because he was the last person seen with the defendant before he went missing," the police officer on record stated.
The defendant attempted to depart the country through Dubai International Airport, but there were no planes available to the destination he desired.
On the second day, he went to the embassy and asked for assistance in leaving the country without telling them what he had done. According to official documents, he was detained outside the embassy by Dubai Police.
'He became furious
"The defendant and the victim got into an argument because the defendant wanted to return to his country, but the victim disagreed with him on the return date." After that, the victim dismissed him and requested him to leave. "The defendant felt humiliated and became enraged," the officer continued.
During questioning, the defendant stated that he waited until his coworkers had left the office before locking the door and attacking the victim with a knife. He slashed the victim's throat, yet he continued to breathe.
A 62-year-old worker testified that he went to a local grocery with a coworker and returned to find the manager dead, while the defendant had vanished.
The decision is subject to a 15-day appeal period.
