Kuwait's Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Manea, has issued a ministerial decision permitting students to combine government scholarships with private employment. Al-Rai Daily reported that the decision was prompted by a letter from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid.
Students will be able to seek employment in the private sector without sacrificing their government stipends as a result of the move, which will allow them to become more financially independent. The development demonstrates Kuwait's commitment to supporting students' educational and financial wellbeing.
