The Darwaza Abdulrazzaq Project Will Reopen Soon

The Kuwaiti Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, has confirmed the completion of development and maintenance work on the Darwaza Al-Abdulrazzaq project, with plans to reopen the historic site soon. In a statement to KUNA, Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized during an inspection tour that the project is progressing as planned and will reopen on schedule. Accompanied by the Head of the Municipal Council, Abdullah Al-Mahari, the minister inspected the site.
Dr. Al-Mashaan noted that the inspection tour is part of the Ministry's commitment to monitoring project developments and ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. She expressed gratitude to Kuwait’s leadership and the Council of Ministers for their ongoing support of the Ministries of Municipal Affairs and Public Works, which reflects appreciation for the efforts of officials involved in these projects.
Head of the Municipal Council, Abdullah Al-Mahari, reiterated the importance of the Darwaza Al-Abdulrazzaq project's success. He praised Dr. Al-Mashaan's dedication to overseeing the projects and stated that the maintenance work at Darwaza will significantly enhance the aesthetic appeal of this historical landmark.
Darwaza Al-Abdulrazzaq, a historical landmark in Kuwait, was once a horse stable and camel passageway. Today, it serves as a pedestrian underpass in the heart of Kuwait City, near Souk Al-Mubarakiya.
