As the amnesty period concluded, Kuwait initiated a comprehensive nationwide crackdown on individuals violating residency laws. Following the implementation of a detailed security plan earlier on Monday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) successfully arrested numerous violators, subsequently referring them to relevant authorities for deportation.
Acting on the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Defense, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, the ministry executed the comprehensive security strategy across all governorates to apprehend residency law violators, according to an official statement from the MoI.
The operation was overseen by Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The ministry stressed the importance of enforcing the law on those who did not utilize the grace period, which concluded on Sunday.
The MoI reiterated its commitment to ongoing campaigns that encourage citizens to report any violators via the emergency line 112.
