Drugs Wrapped Like Chocolate Confiscated

The General Administration for Drug Control managed to arrest a person attempting to smuggle drugs inside the country via postal mail, Al Anbaa reported.

The postal mail was coming to him from a European country through express shipment. The Package contained sweets and a kilo and a quarter of narcotic drugs hidden inside.

After receiving the information about the smuggling attempt, the General Administration of Customs in coordination with the Search and Investigation Office facilitated the movement of the parcel until it reached the express shipping company.

The accused was seized after the parcel was delivered to him. It was found that there was a package that looked like chocolate but had hidden drugs weighing 1250 grams inside it.

He was then referred, along with the seized items, to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against him.
