Coronavirus Infection Falls To 172

 Kuwait recorded 172 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours to up the total to 149,499, while 3 deaths were reported with death toll from the outbreak is 929, the health ministry said.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 3,140, with 36 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry Spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that some 3,140 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,241,264 so far.

The ministry had earlier reported that some 250 people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 145,380.

The spokesman went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (KUNA)
