Center Working Around The Clock To Protect Kuwait From Health Hazards
Head of the National Center for the Application of International Health Regulations at the Ministry of Health Dr. S. Al-Qabandi confirmed that the National Center is working around the clock to protect Kuwait from all emergency health hazards, noting that the International Health Regulations are an international legal instrument signed by 196 countries including Kuwait to work on strengthening global health security by preventing and exposing health risks to an effective response while not interfering unnecessarily with international trade and travel.
In an exclusive interview with Al- Anba, Al-Qabandi said that the National Center for International Health Regulations communicates directly with the World Health Organization (WHO) to consult on reporting or responding to an internal or external health hazard and to seek technical support by consulting technical experts if necessary. It advises travelers to any country experiencing health emergencies to postpone unnecessary travel, be careful and take the necessary vaccinations if the pandemic is due to infectious diseases and follow the instructions and preventive and precautionary measures.
