Campaign To Spread Religious Culture In Public Places Of Kuwait Rejected

Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has rejected two applications submitted by two charity organizations to hold religious campaigns in public places such as public gardens, beaches and malls, reports Al-Rai daily quoting informed sources.

They revealed that these two charity organizations submitted the applications to the ministry more than two months back but the ministry did not take a decision in this regard except after studying the two applications legally to identify its harmony with the constitution and law as well as their political dimensions.

The sources affirmed that the ministry rejected the applications immediately after completing the legal study. They stressed that both charity organizations claimed they submitted their applications based on their keenness to revive the principles of Islam and spread religious culture, as well as urge Muslim women to abide by the prayer and religious rituals, rules of modesty and understand the significance of hijab.

The sources said the ministry not only decided to reject the applications but also decided to set up committees similar to Commission of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Saudi Arabia
