Member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Tourism and Travel Offices and head of the media committee of the union Hussein Al-Sulaiten said Umrah trips accounted for a large share of arrivals into Kuwait, in addition to the domestic workers coming from the Philippines and India, since the current period is not considered a travel season, especially with schools reopening after the summer vacation.

In a statement to Al-Anba, Sulaiten pointed out the ticket prices fell by up to 50% compared to two months ago, with the exception of the departures to Philippines only, which is still high because the Philippine authorities are still imposing a certain quota for those coming to the country, otherwise tickets prices have fallen for incoming passengers due to the Kuwait International Airport opening at full capacity and abolition of the quota system.

Al-Sulaiten added Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt top the list for travel to and from Kuwait taking approximately 60-70% of the total quota.
