Almost 39 Years After Losing Her In Kuwait, Woman Still Searching For Daughter
A girl named Dilal Mohammad alias Saleha went missing 39 years ago in Kuwait. The mother of the girl has been waiting for 39 years to be reunited with her daughter. The mother, Sayeda Fatima Begum is a resident of Chandrayangutta in Hyderabad and is leaving no stone unturned to find her daughter.Â
Even after encountering continuous failures in her quest, Fatima has still not lost hope. She recently shared a video asking the External affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj to help her find her daughter. The aggrieved mother even wrote a letter to the minister stating that she wishes to be reunited with her daughter before she dies.Â
According to the Times of India's report, Fatima even visited the Indian Embassy in Kuwait and gave the documents which will help in finding her daughter. Fatima allegedly married Mohammed Hijab Alajmi who is a Kuwaiti national. She also went to live with her husband but came back to India after she became pregnant.Â
After Saleha's birth, the father stopped replying to her mother's letters, after which, Fatima wrote to the Indian Embassy and traced Alajmi's family. Alajmi, however, passed away in a road accident in Damam, Saudi Arabia. After Alajmi's death, his son from his first wife came to India and took the mother and the daughter to Kuwait.Â
Soon after Alajmi's death, his first wife claimed the financial benefits arising after his death. Fatima added that she had developed suicidal tendencies because of everything that she had gone through. Following this, she was brought back to India by Alajmi's son who abandoned her at the Mumbai airport.Â
