68% Kuwaitis Prefer Online Shopping

23 December 2019 Kuwait

According to a recent study carried out by National Bank of Kuwait, 68 percent of Kuwaitis prefer online shopping to the conventional method, reports Al-Qabas daily.

It explained that e-commerce has become an integral part of daily human life. The ease of using smart phones and availability of the Internet everywhere support many online purchases at various locations locally and internationally.

This has encouraged owners of shopping outlets and brands to enter into that world as a method of staying in par with the latest advancement and increasing the sales rate.

In the same vein, a report released by the United Nations Conference on Commerce and Development concerning e-commerce indicators for 2019 shows a slow movement of Kuwait in the global ranking in that aspect. Kuwait occupies 55th position in the global e-commerce, the UAE 28th, Qatar 47th and Saudi Arabia 49th. In Kuwait, a total of KD 3 million was spent on advertisements and announcements from January to October 2019.
