5 Kuwaitis And A Bedoun Wanted In 50 Thefts Arrested
Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested a six-member gang (five Kuwaitis and a bedoun) who were wanted by law in at least 50 theft cases and robbery using the vehicles they had stolen, reports Al-Anba daily. During interrogations the suspects admitted to the charges filed against them and led the investigation team to the sites of the crimes they had committed and also disclosed the names and addresses of people who bought the stolen vehicles from them over the course of 18 months, to dismantle them and sell parts.
According to a security source, police initially arrested two people and they led securitymen to their partners. They said most of the vehicles which they stole were left with the engine running by the owners and others they towed claiming to be the owners of those vehicles. They also said they used the stolen vehicles to rob expatriates by posing as security officers.
