The number of Residency Law violators, who left the country as of the end of last week, reached 21,163 or 80 percent of the total (26,472 expatriates).
The latest statistical report states that as of June 10, the Air Transport Department in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) – in cooperation with the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior – has completed the implementation of the operational plan for violators who submitted the necessary documents to the Ministry of Interior to settle their affairs and enable them to travel.
The statistics revealed that the expatriates who settled their affairs belong to 27 out of the 47 foreign communities in Kuwait. The report affirmed that procedures are being taken for the remaining nationalities and plans deemed appropriate for them will be laid down soon in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
