21 Beggars Caught In One Week

During its campaign, the Ministry of Interior's Residence Affairs Sector apprehended 21 beggars in less than a week, six of them on Tuesday in various parts of the country.

According to a local Arabic daily quoting an Interior Ministry source, those arrested are of various nationalities. These programs, according to the source, aim to maintain Kuwait's civilized viewpoint while also controlling undesirable conduct and occurrences from outside the country.

The campaigns are being carried out on the orders of Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas, the Ministry's Undersecretary.

Lieutenant-General Al-Barjas stated that security operations will be stepped up, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan, and urged everyone to help security forces by contacting 911. (112).
