150,000 Civil Id Cards Awaiting To Be Collected

The Director of Public Relations and Media at the Civil Information Authority, Ahmed Al-Sabr, revealed that 200,000 civil id cards have been issued since the start of work at the public authority, reports Al Qabas.

Al-Sabr said that the authority has delivered 110,000 civil id cards to citizens and expats during the same period. He pointed out that there are currently 150,000 civil id cards in the machines waiting to be collected by their owners.

Al-Sabr appealed to citizens and expats whose civil id cards are ready in the machines to quickly pick them up so that new cards can be stored in them. In addition, commercial banks have adopted the Kuwait Mobile ID app in dealing with people who do not have civil id cards. The banks launched campaigns to introduce the app and explain its function to allow people to utilize them without problems.
