1,157 Covid-19 Cases, 8 Deaths
Ministry of Health (MoH) registered Tuesday 1,157 additional COVID-19 cases over a 24-hour span, increasing the total number of infections to 203,055, while eight fatalities were recorded, raising the death toll to 1,141.
Active cases amounted to 13,747 with 181 of them in intensive care units, MoH’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA. Health authorities conducted 7,760 swab tests to a total of 1,867,338, which meant that 14.9 percent of swab tests performed in 24 hours were infections, he revealed.
Dr. Al-Sanad urged everyone in Kuwait to comply with the precautionary measures against the virus and maintain social distancing. He recommends that everyone should visit MoH’s official accounts and official authorities in the country to view the instructions, recommendations, and everything that would contribute to end the pandemic. Earlier today, the ministry confirmed 1,045 fresh recovery cases, increasing the total to 188,167 cured people so far.
