Youths Advised To Avoid Such Dangerous Money Games
Following the footsteps of the game “Pokémon Go” to which the world became addicted, an unidentified Kuwaiti citizen has developed a new game called “Money”.
This game is finding its way into the smartphones of young people. However, the game is not about chasing monsters but to collect money from the streets and purchase commodities such as eatables and drinks.
In the game “Money”, which is starting to become popular among the youths, the player has to go out on the streets in search for 100 fils coins. After finding and collecting them, they are added to the player’s accounts. When the player succeeds in collecting KD 10 or KD 20, he can go to real stores, which are linked to the application, such as grocery stores, juice shops and restaurants, and use that money to buy whatever he wants.
A security source said, “In terms of security concerns, this game could be regarded as more dangerous than “Pokémon Go” because the players, instead of using the game for fun and entertainment purposes, will be looking for real money which they can collect and exchange it with commodities from certain grocery stores and shops that are linked to the game”.
Advising youths to avoid such games which can not only be dangerous to lives but could subject them to legal accountability, the source revealed that the security systems of Ministry of Interior have been monitoring the widespread use of this game.
