Expat Family Visas On Hold Except In Certain Professions
As part of the ministry's plan to reduce the number of violators of the residency law, the Ministry of Interior has not yet granted family visas to expatriates, except for some categories such as doctors, according to informed sources. This includes immigrants who entered the country under different visa categories but did not leave when the visa expired.
As instructed by Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Ministry of Interior is committed to ending the problem of violators of residency laws through extensive security campaigns conducted by its sectors. In all governorates, the Residency Affairs Investigation Sector has arrested thousands of labor law violators since the beginning of this year. These measures have reduced the number of violators in the country. Throughout the country, security campaigns are underway to arrest violators of the residency and labor laws, and all sectors of the Ministry of Interior are working to control violations.
