Over 1,800 Residency Violators Depart Kuwait During Amnesty Period

Since the initiation of the amnesty period declared by the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait, 1,807 residency violators have voluntarily left the country, while 4,565 expatriates have rectified their residency status. The majority of these individuals held article 20 and article 18 residencies, with some visitors also taking advantage of the amnesty scheme to depart Kuwait.
Additionally, approximately 2,801 expatriates, who either lost their passports or were under the sponsorship of their employers, have obtained travel documents from their respective embassies to facilitate their departure from Kuwait.
