29 April 2021 Coronavirus

As the anti-Coronavirus vaccination campaign is accelerating in the country, informed sources revealed that vaccinations are expected to increase to 2 million by the end of June or early July, at the latest, indicating that record vaccination rates will continue to be registered daily, Al Rai daily reported.

The sources noted that Pfizer vaccine shipments regularly arrive on a weekly basis, and sources speculate that the third shipment for the Oxford vaccine will arrive next month.

A study has been completed to consider extending the interval between the first and second vaccine doses administered, according to the latest research and global recommendations in this regard.

The specified period in Kuwait is 21 days for the Pfizer vaccine and 3 months for the Oxford vaccine, but it is not fixed or uniform in all countries.

In a related matter, the sources revealed that the Ministry of Health has received approval from the regulatory authorities for some requests for booster vaccines, including a request to provide two million Pfizer doses, while another request was about the Moderna vaccine, which is still under study.
