Unicef And Voice Of Kuwait Announce A New Partnership To Empower Kuwaiti Youth
UNICEF and VO-Kuwait signed a Memorandum of Understanding today, creating cooperation to foster and promote Kuwait's youth talents.
Her Excellency Sheikha Ohoud Salem Al Ali Al Sabah, Chairperson of VO Kuwait, UNICEF Representative to the Gulf Area, Mr Eltayeb Adam, UN Resident Coordinator to the State of Kuwait, Dr Tarek Elsheikh, Riham Al Ayyar, CEO of VO Kuwait, and Mr Mohammed Al Anjari, Chairman of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Kuwait (ASMEK), were present at the signing ceremony at the UN
The agreement lays out measures for establishing a significant partnership over the next five years, including information exchange and the creation of an action plan to empower young people, improve their qualifications, and prepare them for worldwide job markets.
Her Excellency Sheikha Ohoud Al-Sabah underlined the objective of VO Kuwait and its commitment to Kuwaiti youth in an official statement. She stated that VO's primary purpose is to promote Kuwait's global positioning and economic diversification by exporting Kuwaiti talent throughout the world. She complimented UNICEF's work in the area and stated that this collaboration is a significant step forward in VO's mission to empower Kuwaiti youth by recognizing their abilities and assisting them in achieving their goals.
"Kuwait's young are one of the most crucial components of our country's success." As a result, we must all work together to give them growth opportunities and equip them with the skills they need to usher Kuwait into a new era of innovation and prepare them to meet global problems. "Our agreement with UNICEF is another step in the right direction," Her Excellency remarked.
"Investing in today's children and youth is closely linked to a country's long-term success," stated UNICEF Representative to the Gulf Area Eltayeb Adam. "Through our collaboration with VO, young people in Kuwait will have the chance to reach their full potential, push their society to new heights, and contribute to the achievement of national development goals."
"I am glad to observe such a relationship between UNICEF and VO materialise," stated Dr Tarek Elsheikh, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Kuwait. This collaboration is a significant step forward in providing VO with international norms and standards, as well as best practices and experiences in youth engagement, empowerment, and leadership for development transformations in a new world era that is highly technological, artificial intelligence-focused, and leaves no one behind. Through VO, it is also an opportunity to connect the very capable and highly skilled young Kuwaitis with UNICEF and other sister organisations' international youth world. UNICEF will guarantee that Kuwaiti and international youth share experience and learning in the interests of the New Kuwait goal.
The collaboration with VO builds on UNICEF's continuing advocacy and programmes in Kuwait and other GCC countries to enhance educational results and boost training and job possibilities for young people moving from school to work.
VO is dedicated to fostering young creativity, the development of their ideas and abilities, the creation of their work, and their professional journey in distributing and promoting their generated products to the regional and international market.
