Third Gulf Sports Games Panel Reveals Event Mascot
The mascot of the third GCC nation’s tournament, which will be held in Kuwait from May 13 to May 31, and will draw over 1,700 male and female players, has been announced by the Supreme Organizing Committee.
According to Fatima Hayat, a committee member and chairman of the Women's Sports Committee, the mascot is a model of the red fox (Al-Hesni) that is influenced by the Kuwaiti environment.
The fox was chosen as a mascot because it was one of the wild creatures that resided in Kuwait's and Arabia's deserts and were known for its ability to survive in tough conditions.
She said that the premiere ceremony would take place on May 22 at the 360 Marina and that the event will feature 16 different sports, including volleyball, basketball, futsal, swimming, athletics, karate, and judo. -KUNA
