There Were No Injuries After An Artificial Ceiling Fell In A School Laboratory
In Farwaniya, the collapse of a laboratory ceiling sparked a discussion on social media yesterday. An Arab daily reported that the Ministries of Education and Housing exchanged their disapproval of the site's affiliation.
The incident recorded no injuries, and sources said that it was caused by water leaking into the ceiling of the laboratory room in Ahmed Al-Qattan Intermediate School for Boys in the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak area of Al-Farwaniyah Educational District. The leakage resulted in the dismantling of some of the decorative tiles hanging on the ceiling, which caused it to give way.
The source added that the school is covered by the residential guarantee, and repairs and maintenance are underway, since the laboratory has been closed and the concerned authorities have been informed to take the necessary action. The residential agency immediately denied the site's affiliation, referring to the ministry of education.
