There Are 80% Of Workers Aged 25 To 49 In The Local Market.

A total of 1.5 million people of ages 25 to 49 are employed on the local labor market, according to official data, reports Al-Anba daily. Approximately 344,970 citizens and residents aged 50 and older comprised 18 percent of the labor market as of the end of March, according to labor market data. There is no employment of those between the ages of 15 and 19 on the Kuwaiti labor market, according to the data.

About 34,765 citizens and residents between the ages of 20 and 24 regularly enter the labor market. More than 18 percent of Kuwait's workforce is comprised of citizens and residents aged 30 to 34, totaling 352,240, ranking first in the local labor market according to age group.

35,674 males and females in the 35 to 39 age group ranked second. With 315,576 male and female workers between the ages of 40 and 44, citizens and residents in this age group ranked third. Those between the ages of 25 and 29 ranked fourth, with 253,140 workers, and those between the ages of 45 and 49 ranked fifth, with 233,500 males and females. The Kuwaiti workforce is composed of 85 percent citizens aged 25-49. 91,370 citizens between the ages of 30 and 34 represent the highest percentage of employees among citizens.

A total of 89,829 males and females belong to the 25-29-year-old age group, followed by 81,890 males and females who are 35-39 years old, 62,140 males and females from 40-44 years, and 45,420 from 45-49 years. More than 58.4 percent of Kuwaiti citizens in the age groups most prevalent on the labor market were female citizens, with 217,200 employees, compared to 153,450 male citizens. Among citizens over 49 years of age, there has been a significant decline in the number of employed men and women.

There are approximately 46,000 male and female Kuwaiti citizens over the age of 50 on the labor market, representing more than 10.5 percent of the labor force. There are 268,770 residents between the ages of 35 and 39 in the city, the majority of whom are males (232,239).

Second was the age group of 30 to 34-year-olds with 260,870 males and females, with 231,690 males. In third place is residents in the age group from 40 to 44 years, with 253,430 male and female residents, followed by residents in the age group from 45 to 49 years, with 188,000 residents, and then residents in the age group from 25 to 29 years old, with about 231.690 male and female residents. The number of residents in the age group from 50 to 54 years in the labor market was about 138,587 residents.

There has been a significant decline in the number of non-Kuwaitis over 55 years old working in the labor market. Around 89,700 residents are in the age group of 55 to 59 years, 41,740 are in the age group of 60 to 64 years, and 28,950 are 65 and older. As a whole, Kuwait had 32,862 workers in the age group of 65 years and over, followed by 34,765 workers in the age group between 20 and 24 years, and 45,380 workers in the age group between 60 and 64 years.
