The Procedures Required For The Travel Of Kuwaitis And Residents To Thailand
Arabic local newspaper Alqabas reported that As part of the government of the Kingdom of Thailand’s plan to reopen the country to foreign visitors, Thailand’s ambassador to the country, Roj Tamongkul, announced that Kuwaitis and residents of Kuwait who have been fully vaccinated can travel to Thailand without having to undergo quarantine as of November 1, 2021.
Tamongkul added in a press statement that “according to the updated list of countries by the Committee to Combat the Covid 19 Pandemic in Thailand, Kuwait was included in a list of 63 countries from which its citizens can travel to Thailand without being subject to quarantine.”
On the travel requirements for citizens and residents of Kuwait who have been fully vaccinated, Tamongkul explained the need to register in the Thailand Pass system via the website: tp.consular.go.th
He indicated that the documents required to register for a Thailand Pass are:
1) A copy of the passport
2) Vaccination certificate
3) Insurance with medical coverage of a minimum of 50 thousand US dollars
4) Paid SHA+/AQ hotel reservation for 1 day (including COVID-19 RT-PCR examination fee)
5) Obtaining a visa from the embassy (if required)
He stressed the need for those coming from Kuwait to undergo a COVID-19 examination (RT-PCR) 72 hours before departure, with a negative result.
Concerning travelers who are not vaccinated or who have not been fully vaccinated to meet the above requirements in addition, Tamongkol states that they must undergo a 10-night hotel quarantine, and pass a second COVID-19 RT-PCR examination before they can travel within Thailand.
