The Ministry Of Health Closes 12 Private Pharmacies For Violating Rules
Seven independent pharmacies were given a three-month closure order by authorities for supplying unlicensed medications. The Ministry also terminated the licences of two other pharmacies and an importer of nutritional supplements. The prosecutor's office has been forwarded the aforementioned outlets.
12 private pharmacies, including an import business for nutritional supplements, were shut down as a result of the raid, which was part of a Ministry of Health initiative to control the activities of private pharmacies and monitor offenders. The MOH and the President of the Pharmaceutical Society made up the committee members who handed out the fines.
According to health sources, in addition to the seven private pharmacies being shut down for repeated violations, a nutritional supplement import company's licence was revoked for selling prescription medications. The committee reported all offenders for prosecution, and now they are awaiting the proper penalties.
