The First Day Of Eid Al-fitr Coincides With Sunday 24 May

Kuwaiti astronomer and historian Adel Al-Saadoun said Thursday that the first days of Eid Al-Fitr this year will coincide with the 24th Sunday of May, according to astronomical calculations.

Al-Saadoun stated in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that on Friday the 29th of the blessed month of Ramadan, corresponding to the 22 of May, the moon will be associated with the sun at 21:39 pm, which leaves no room for seeing the crescent moon of Shawwal.

He explained that on Saturday, May 23 this year is the month of Ramadan, as the sunset will witness at 42 minutes after sunset. The moon’s age at conjugation will be 21 hours and 27 minutes.
