The Council Of Ministers Is Studying The Opening Of Direct Flights With Several Countries

At a time when the countdown to the entry into force of the Council of Ministers’ decision to allow non-Kuwaitis vaccinated with two doses of approved vaccines to enter into force as of next Sunday, Local Arabic Newspaper Alqabas reported that Council of Ministers is studying direct flights from Kuwait to several Arab and foreign countries.

 
According to an informed source, the airport’s equipment is fully prepared to deal with any increase in travel destinations and departing and incoming flights, and to receive all citizens and residents starting next August 1, as all devices, equipment and operating systems have been checked in general to avoid any obstacles that may occur.

Regarding the return of flights with Cairo, the source said: “Agreeing to resume flights is a decision that rests with the Council of Ministers, and we are awaiting these decisions so that we can schedule flights according to the new data.”

He pointed out that the Council of Ministers is currently studying the opening of several destinations, including Egypt, Morocco, the Maldives and other countries, explaining that the airport authorities have not received any approvals issued in this regard so far, so they are in the process of studying and he is expected to announce the return of flights with some countries in the near future.

The source revealed that the agencies operating at the airport submitted a letter to the Council of Ministers requesting to raise the absorptive capacity to receive daily arrivals to the country without specifying a specific ceiling for the numbers, to increase the numbers from the current in a manner consistent with the health requirements in the country.
