The Cabinet has announced a donation of five million dollars to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, and a donation of two million dollars to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees, following its weekly meeting today, which was chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled.

The decision was made in response to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-directions Sabah's and the growing need for humanitarian relief for Afghan and Ukrainian refugees. According to a local Arabic daily, money has been allocated to assist refugees from the two nations through the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The proposal filed by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare has been approved by the Council of Ministers. The goal of this plan is to rename various Kuwaiti cities, suburbs, and residential districts. The matter has now been forwarded to the Kuwait Municipality, which will take appropriate action.

During the meeting, the Council of Ministers also paid tribute to late Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Khatib, a former member of the National Assembly who died last Sunday. His earnest efforts and significant role in Kuwait's political scene, as well as his role in many stages to serve the interests of his country, were recalled with gratitude. Prayers were said to God, asking that he have mercy on his soul and that he motivate his family and relatives to bear this great loss with patience and comfort.
