Record Numbers Of Vaccination In Kuwait
The Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, confirmed that Kuwait has vaccinated a record number of people in a day. A total of 95,000 citizens and residents were vaccinated on Sunday, Al Qabas daily reported.
The Ministry of Health announced, through its official account on Twitter, that about 95,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were given in a day to various segments and age groups of citizens and residents, through the vaccination center in Mishref, primary care centers, Sheikh Jaber Bridge, and field campaigns for the bedridden.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mustafa Reda, said that the ministry aims to vaccinate 70 to 75% of the population against the Coronavirus, to achieve community immunity.
He added that the number of vaccinators depends on the quantities of vaccines that are provided by the producing companies, and as these quantities increase, the greater the number of vaccinators.
He added that the vaccination for age groups between 12 and 15 years is gradual, to obtain sufficient vaccination for our student sons and daughters.
He also thanked the medical and support staff for their great efforts to make the national vaccination campaign a success, and to assist the Ministry of Health in combating the Corona pandemic.
