Qatari Ambassador: Kuwait Amir's Visit To Qatar Is Another Milestone In Relations
Ali AlMahmoud, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Kuwait, highlighted on Monday the significance of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's visit to Qatar in bolstering the longstanding relationship between the two nations.
Speaking to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Mahmoud underscored the deep-rooted Kuwaiti-Qatari relations, rooted in a shared history and a promising future.
He emphasized the commitment of both nations' wise leaders to further elevate these relations, exploring new opportunities across various fronts including politics, economics, and cooperative ventures through frequent exchanges.
Under the leadership of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of Qatar, Ambassador Al-Mahmoud emphasized Kuwait's status as a top priority for Qatar, noting the warm reception Sheikh Tamim receives in Kuwait, where he is respected and appreciated.
The Ambassador praised the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the governments of Kuwait and Qatar, aimed at mutual prosperity and progress under the leadership of both countries' Amir.
Economically, Al-Mahmoud highlighted the significant 15-year sale and purchase agreement signed in January 2020, wherein Qatar committed to annually supplying Kuwait with three million tons of liquefied natural gas, further strengthening bilateral ties and fostering partnership development.
In addition to economic ties, the Ambassador noted the flourishing cultural, societal, and artistic exchanges between the two nations, exemplified by Kuwait's participation in Qatar's "International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha," which attracted a significant turnout.
He also highlighted the deep social connections between Qatari and Kuwaiti citizens, reflecting the enduring bonds between the people of both countries.
Looking ahead, Ambassador Al-Mahmoud expressed anticipation for the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Qatar, foreseeing positive impacts on regional relations and international partnerships, aiming for further achievements through collaborative efforts within the Gulf region.
