Pam Takes Legal Measures To Resolve The Workers' Strike
After receiving a report from the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station about a labor strike in one of the companies that have a contract with the Ministry of Education, the Public Authority for Manpower announced that it, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, did everything possible to protect the rights of the victims.
The employees involved in the strike were summoned and their comments were recorded by PAM's Labor Relations Department, according to a press statement cited by a local Arabic newspaper.
The authorities subsequently summoned the employer and the company's legal counsel to take their statements regarding the workers' complaints.
The Public Authority for Manpower indicated that it had informed the Ministry of Education about the incident and its reasons and that processes should be followed in response to the complaints filed by the strikers. PAM also asked the Ministry of the Interior to follow the proper processes in this matter.
PAM emphasized that it has taken all legal measures to protect workers' rights in the face of violating employers, and it urged all employers in general, and those involved in government contracts in particular, to abide by the provisions of Labor Law No. 6 of 2010, which represents the minimum rights of workers, according to the text of Article No. 6 of this law, in order to avoid legal action.
