Over 100 Pharmacies In Kuwait Are At Risk Of Closure

Private pharmacies will continue to be inspected in order to regulate and monitor their operations. The primary objective is to verify license holders' adherence to Profession Practice Law 28/1996, as amended by Law 30/2016.

In response to violations related to the unauthorized management of numerous pharmacies by individuals who are not license holders, the Ministry of Commerce and Health coordinate continuously. Such actions are clear infringements of the laws governing the practice of the profession.

In light of the violations uncovered so far and the sustained inspection efforts, it is expected that the number of pharmacies facing closure will exceed 100 within the next few weeks.

The Ministry of Health has already closed 40 pharmacies during the past and current week as part of its regulatory measures.
