No Import Of Russian Vaccine In Kuwait

07 April 2021 Coronavirus

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has intensified its efforts to follow up on new vaccines. MoH coordinates with approved vaccine companies to provide more doses especially with the acceleration of the transmission rate, Al Qabas reported

Sources told the daily about the non-approval or licensing of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in the country, despite its use in other countries. They said that all vaccines are periodically studied by the Corona Vaccination Committee at the Ministry of Health, and the aforementioned vaccine has not been approved by the organizations.

The ministry will not import any vaccines if its clinical trials have not been published clearly and scientifically.

The second epidemic wave in Kuwait and the Gulf countries led to the imposition of partial curfew some time ago, especially with the approaching beginning of the month of Ramadan, with expectations that it will continue until after Eid al-Fitr if the daily infection rates do not decrease after about 30 days from now.
