Moi Requests Municipality Not To Issue Temporary Trade Fair Permits

The Kuwait Municipality has been asked by the Ministry of Interior not to issue any temporary trade fair permits in public parks within residential and model housing districts.

Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, said in a letter to the Municipality, which was also circulated to the hygiene departments of municipality branches in all governorates in the public interest and for security reasons, according to a local Arabic daily.

One of the reasons, according to Al-Barjas, is that it causes significant traffic congestion, disturbs traffic, causes discomfort for others, leads to quarrels and confrontations at such locations, harassment of households near the site, damages gardens (trees and plants), and the organisers abandon the site.
