Certified Sick Leave Cost 1 Kd
Ministry of Interior intends to set a fee of KD 1 for certifying sick leaves issued by private hospitals and clinics to employees of the public sector, reports Aljarida daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the ministry is coordinating with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in order to issue a circular in this regard to all state institutions.
Sick leaves will be certified by the medical council of the Ministry of Health. Uncertified sick leaves will not be considered and the employee will be recorded as absent.
This step is aimed at bringing an end to the manipulation of the facility and the phenomenon of fake sick leaves, especially after noting a huge number of sick leaves being issued by private hospitals and medical centers in the last two years.
It was also discovered that sick leaves were obtained with the payment of certain amount of money.
The sources affirmed that the ministry is working on specifying bank accounts for private hospitals and medical centers to enter the sick leaves directly in the automated system linked to the integrated systems through which the sick leaves will be audited and certified.
