Moi Has Canceled 40 Licenses For Service Offices

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah has canceled 40 licenses for service offices based on reports from the Domestic Workers Employment Department which is headed by Mohammad Al-Ajmi, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a reliable source, the offices were closed after the Department sent a report to the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality and Passport Affairs, Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah.

The daily added, 35 officers were shut for violating Employ-ment Law No. 68 while the other 5 owners of offices had sub-let the license for Asian workers.

On the other hand, the Department raided a fictitious office for migrant workers and seized five Asians for illegally operating a domestic workers recruiting office and issuing receipts which have no legal basis.
