Moh Warned That The Epidemiological Curve Is A Danger Indicator
While the number of "Corona" cases continued to rise in the country, the Ministry of Health warned that the epidemiological curve is a danger indicator. Health officials told Al-Qabas: The recent increase in Corona infection rates in the country coincides with the entry of some countries in two waves, second and third waves of the epidemic that may be more severe than the first, stressing the need to follow precautionary health requirements, to ensure that infection is not caught and transmitted to the elderly. And those with chronic diseases later.
They pointed out that the numbers recorded since the partial ban was implemented on March 7 until yesterday, are very worrying, especially with the markedly high rates of infection and death, noting that 143 deaths were recorded, and 25,408 injuries during that estimated 20 days only. In addition, 67 patients were admitted to "Corona", in intensive care.
These officials attributed the reasons for the high infection rates to the laxity in applying health requirements, and the diversion of gatherings and the organization of events from the evening to the morning period, due to the contact and lack of separation between the attendees, stressing that the presence of one person infected with the virus may transmit the infection to most of the attendees, in contrast to the new changes. That occur on the virus, its activity, and the speed of its spread.
And they indicated that the increase in daily infection rates recently was reflected in the rate of recovery from the virus compared to the number of infected people, as it reached 92.9% the day before yesterday, after it reached 95.6% at the beginning of last February, and 97.3% at the beginning of this year.
They indicated that work is currently underway to assess the epidemiological situation of the virus in the country, submit a report on infection rates, deaths and recovery rates, and the most prominent observations and recommendations to the Corona Emergency Ministerial Committee soon, to take what it deems appropriate with the requirements of the current stage.
