Mew Giving Importance On Connection Of Water And Electricity Services To Residential Cities
The Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) has confirmed giving utmost importance on the connection of water and electricity services to new residential cities as it coordinates with the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) in order to address requests one by one, reports Al-Jarida daily.
In this context, the Programs and Follow-up Department started coordinating with PAHW one week ago to supply the equipment needed by official bodies in Sabah Al- Ahmad Residential City.
The equipment sent so far include a power plant with two transformers to supply 1,250 kilovolts to a primary school for boys in Block B1; one power plant with two transformers to supply 1,600 kilovolts to a preparatory school for boys in the same block; a power plant to supply 1,250 kilovolts to a primary school for girls; a secondary transformer for the mosque in Block B2; a power plant to supply 1,250 kilovolts to a primary school for girls in Block B4; a secondary transformer to supply 1,250 kilovolts to a kindergarten; another one for supplying 1,000 kilovolts to the Society Development Center in the same block; and a secondary transformer for a kindergarten in block B5.
The department added the equipment for the central cooperative society, a secondary school for boys and a preparatory school for girls will be delivered once the PAHW completes certificates for ascertaining the capacity of transformers. The department also revealed that the Society Development Center, kindergarten in Block B4, kindergarten in Block B5 and medical center in Block B1 will open within one week; whereas the transformer for the mosque will function once the central cooperative society starts operating
