Kuwaitis And Expats Urged To Get A Booster Jab
Kuwait’s concerned government bodies are monitoring the latest developments of the new Coronavirus variant of Omicron, and stand prepared to fight the variant, which is highly spreading around the world, said Government Communication Center Chairman and Government Spokesman Tareq Al-Mezrem on Sunday.
Speaking to KUNA following the anti-Covid-19 ministerial committee’s meeting held at Bayan Palace and presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Al-Mezrem said government agencies are always on high alert for looming virus-bearing developments.
The spokesman urged citizens and residents alike to get a booster jab and to follow health guidelines, especially during social occasions. He underlined that everyone should work together, just as they did before, in order to ensure that health precautions and requirements, including mask-wearing, are absolutely met so that the country’s health stability could be maintained.
