Kuwait Tightens Security
Eleven sites – vital installations and buildings housing American and British forces and the diplomatic missions of the two friendly countries – have been placed under tight security control to prevent any risks to them given the current volatile situation in the region, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting reliable security sources.
The daily quoting the same sources said the protection to buildings housing American and British in the country comes within the framework of mutual defense agreements that have been signed by the concerned sides.
The security services continue with the implementation of the massive deployment plan to tighten security around these vital installations and buildings which also include residences of foreign officials and diplomats.
The sources added, an integrated team has been formed from all sectors of the security services in the Ministry of Interior to oversee the strategy and ensure security and ward off danger. The sources stressed, the country is completely safe.
These measures, the sources said, comes in the aftermath of the escalating unrest in the region. The sources also said there is continuous coordination between the ministries of Defense and Interior and the National Guard and other concerned authorities to preserve the security of the country
