The Situation Of Staff At The Fna Has Deteriorated Due To The Delay In The Payment Of Salaries
The situation of staff at the Food and Nutrition Authority (FNA) has deteriorated due to the delay in the payment of salaries, in addition to administrative problems, which is surprising in a government institution that is supposed to operate according to a specific system, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to a statement issued by the authority, a copy of which has been received by the daily, 85 employees who had moved to it from the Kuwait Municipality have not received their salaries, which estimated at 85,000 dinars a month.
Sources said, 380 employees received full salaries after completing the coordination procedures between the Municipality and the Civil Service Commission and 180 will receive their salaries on Monday.
Informed sources told the daily one of the officials tried to hide the issue of delayed payment of salaries, but a large number of “inspectors” threatened to resign collectively while others threatened to organize sit-ins. The sources added after pressure from the 30 affected employees who threatened to resort to strike, some officials of the CSC blamed the Municipality to get out of the embarrassing situation, while the latter blamed the CSC, which caused the delay of the transfer of data from the Municipality to the Food Authority and as a result the salaries got delayed.
