Kuwait Lists 555 New Covid-19 Cases, Three Deaths

Kuwait’s daily coronavirus cases rose by 555 to 403,349 as deaths increased by three to 2,369, the health ministry said on Sunday.

Another 751 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 392,350, ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdallah Al-Sanad said in a statement.

The number of people hospitalised with the virus currently stands at 671, with 243 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that another 8,630 are receiving regular treatment.

Some 10,884 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 3,511,276, mentioned the official.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
