Kuwait Lists 424 New Covid-19 Cases, Three Deaths

Kuwait’s daily COVID cases rose by 424 over the past day to a cumulative total of 404,887, while three more fatalities linked to the virus upped its death toll from the outbreak to 2,378, the health ministry said on Wednesday.

Some 747 more people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 394,704, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdallah Al- Sanad.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 527,226 of whom are in intensive care units, in addition to 7,805 active cases, he revealed.

Some 11,469 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 3,553,123 so far, he added, saying that the positive case to swab ratio sits at 3.69 percent.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
