Kd10,000 Collected On Day One By The Moc As Expats Settle Dues Before Departure

07 September 2023 Expats

During the first day of the electronic interface between the systems of the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Communications collected dues worth KD 10,000 from expatriates departing from Kuwait via Kuwait International Airport.

They revealed that the process "went smoothly" via the ministry's office at the airport on Wednesday morning. The sources explained that the new approach will contribute significantly to collecting the dues owed by expatriates to the ministry, especially for using the landline service. It is designed to target workers in the private sector who are not obligated to obtain a liability release in exchange for obtaining an end of service, as is the case with expatriate government employees.

On the other hand, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Communications Dr. Ahmad Al-Husseini stated that the ministry has launched a new service via the unified government application for electronic services (Sahel) for receiving citizen complaints about its services. In a recent press statement, Dr. Al-Husseini explained that the new service can be applied from the application by selecting the “Services” menu, and choosing the Ministry of Communications and then the option “Citizen Service”, through which requests can be submitted regarding complaints related to the ministry’s services. The right of access to decisions, circulars, investigations, and other decisions issued by the ministry can also be requested.
