Kapp To Soon Complete 5-year Investment Plan
Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) has made final touches to its developmental projects for the next five years with investments estimated to be worth about KD 40 billion, reports Al-Nahar daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the number of such projects is about 60 which include projects on education, health, oil and infrastructure.
Since partnership projects is part of the strategy of the state, the government is keen about enhancing the level of partnership between private and public sectors in order to ensure completion of important developmental projects including development of education via floating schools, institutes and private universities, as well as completion of major projects like the projects on metro, railway, energy, tourism and entertainment.
Meanwhile, Secretary General of Supreme Council for Planning and Development Dr Khalid Al-Mahdi said the new phase of the media plan for the projects included in the developmental plan will focus on sending a number of messages including about Kuwait being an economic platform and a passage for international commerce activities, businesses and services.
He stressed that the media campaign will also focus on a change in the role of the government from “producer of services and controller of all economic activities” into “supervisor, organizer and monitor”. Dr Al-Mahdi indicated that campaign will highlight the targets required by the citizens from the developmental plan and vice versa, stressing the importance of the participation of civil society organizations.
