Jupiter Will Shine Brightly In Kuwait Sky On Friday Evening

Earth will lie in a position between the sun and Jupiter in an astronomical phenomenon called “Jupiter at opposition” which will allow the planet to appear brighter, Kuwaiti astronomer and historian Adel AlSadoun announced.

Al-Sadoun added in his remarks that this phenomenon happens every 13 months, which means that it will take place again on May 7, 2018. 

During the course of the phenomenon, Jupiter will shine more brightly than any other star in the evening sky and it will be visible to the naked eye in the constellation Virgo, he said. Jupiter will be in its closest positions to the sun by April 8 at 666 million kilometers and it would be more shinny by midnight, he mentioned
