Iran And Kuwait Tackle Khor Abdullah, Maritime Borders

On the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states held in Jeddah, Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah held talks with his Iranian, Turkish, Pakistani, and Indonesian counterparts.

In the meeting with Dr. Hossein Amir Abdullahian, the Foreign Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran, developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and Gaza Strip, as well as current developments in the region, were discussed, particularly the repercussions resulting from the incorrect historical facts contained in the Khor Abdullah Agreement decision of the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq. Moreover, the issue of completing the demarcation of the Kuwaiti-Iraqi maritime borders beyond Mark 162, as well as the necessity of ending the demarcation of the maritime borders between Kuwait and Iran, was also discussed.
