Intruders Dash Fluorescent Gas At Indian Parliament

Two intruders broke into the lower house and threw objects that produced fluorescent gas. Two boys believed to be in their late 20s received their passes from BJP MP Pratap Simha from Mysore, according to some Lok Sabha members.

Shiv Sena MP Arvind says an MP caught one of the persons while the other was jumping on benches. He opened his shoes to take out the canister which emitted yellow smoke.

As passed by the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, the Upper House will take up the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization (Second Amendment) Bill and the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2023. Both Bills will be discussed together.

A number of questions were asked to the ministries of telecommunications, food and public distribution, and rail in the Lower House. Furthermore, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman successfully introduced the Provisional Collection of Taxes Bill, 2023 and the Central Goods and Services Act (Second Amendment) Bill, 2023. Later, they will be discussed and passed.
